Maritime SMS software for aquaculture and marine farms.

Hazards around lines, cranes and lifting recorded and reviewed, with near misses reported from the deck.

Marine farms run workboats, barges and harvesters between farm sites every day, from the Marlborough Sounds to other sheltered waters around the country. Vessels used on farms operate under an approved maritime safety system, and the farm work brings its own hazards around lifting, lines and heavy gear. Safety software built for factories and offices does not fit a deck. Reporting a near miss has to be as quick as telling the skipper, or it does not happen.

What it covers for
marine farm operators

Maritime safety management system software for hazards, incidents, drills, inductions and reviews, built around the safety system you already have.

  • Incident and near miss reports in a few taps
  • Hazard register kept current by vessel
  • Drills, inductions and toolbox talks recorded
  • Corrective actions tracked to done
  • Regular safety reviews scheduled
  • Reports for safety meetings and audits

Built around how marine farm operators work

A safety management system only works if people use it on the boat. We build the software side of yours: hazard registers, incident and near miss reports, drills, inductions and toolbox talks, and the regular reviews, captured on a phone in a few taps and tracked through to done.

  • Daily runs between farm sites logged quickly
  • Lifting and deck gear on maintenance schedules
  • Hazards around lines, cranes and harvest gear
  • Crews moving between workboats and barges

Alongside your vessel software, or instead of it.

We build the tool around how your operation runs, as a web app for the office and an iOS and Android app for the boat, on our own post-trained models where they fit. Keep the software you use today and connect the two, or let the new tool take its place.

*Every engagement is scoped and quoted up front. Results vary by workflow and business.

Questions marine farm operators ask

Do we need a safety management system?

Most commercial vessel operators do. In New Zealand that is usually through MOSS, and in Australia domestic commercial vessel operators need a documented safety management system. Check what applies to your operation with the regulator or a maritime consultant.

Does the software replace our safety documents?

No. Your documented system stays yours. The software is how the records it calls for are captured and followed through.

Can it cover barges and harvesters as well as workboats?

Yes. Each vessel and major piece of deck gear can be set up with its own maintenance, checks and records.

Does it link to our farm records?

It can. If farm and harvest records live in another system, we can connect the two so vessel work and farm work line up.
