Keep the logbook, maintenance and crew records audit ready
Commercial vessels in New Zealand run under an approved safety system, usually MOSS, and every trip, maintenance job and crew change needs a record behind it. We build tools that capture those records at the helm and in the workshop, keep them current and pull them together when the auditor calls.
Everything included,
nothing bolted on.
Every build starts with a fixed-scope conversation, no surprise line items after the fact.
- Voice and typed logbook entries
- Capture offline at sea, sync back in coverage
- Maintenance scheduled by engine hours or date
- Crew certificate and medical expiry tracking
- Hours of rest checks with early warnings
- Survey and safety certificate reading from photos
- Drill, incident and near miss records
- Audit packs by vessel and date range
FAQ
That is how we build it. Entries, checks and photos are captured on the phone or tablet at sea and sync back when the vessel is in coverage again.
No. We can build the tool to sit alongside the software you run today and keep it updated, or build it as your main system if that suits your operation better. We work that out with you first.
You do. The limits come from your own safety system and the rules that apply to your operation. The tool checks duty time against them and warns early, but it is not compliance advice.
Usually the logbook, because it is used every trip and everything else hangs off it. Maintenance and crew records follow once the skippers are using it day to day.

The logbook, maintenance and crew records stay current from the boat itself, so audit preparation is a report you run rather than a week in the office.
