The future of work in Queenstown.

The realistic near term win is not fewer people, it is the same people not doing eleven hours of admin a week.

What the future of work means here

Our goal is a three day weekend: compress the week by handing the repetitive work to systems that do it reliably, so people spend their hours on the part only a person can do.

  • Automate the task, not the person's job
  • Measure success in hours given back to the team
  • Keep a human on every decision that affects a customer
  • Train the team to run and change it themselves

Queenstown staffs up for the ski season, then again for summer. We automate rostering, onboarding and guest enquiries so each new season starts without the scramble.

How the work runs

We find the one workflow costing Queenstown businesses the most hours, ship a working slice into production in weeks, prove it pays for itself, then harden it and hand it over.

On the tools or running at scale, the admin still eats the week :)

Quotes with GST, consent paperwork, LBP records and health and safety logs: the admin every New Zealand trade business carries.

*Illustrative example based on nine hours a week of admin. Actual results vary by workflow and business.

What Queenstown runs on.

Tourism is the foundation of the Queenstown Lakes economy, and the district hosts far more international visitors per resident than much larger cities.

Coronet Peak and The Remarkables draw skiers from around the world. Winter ski season runs from June, and summer brings adventure tourism, with both peaks needing temporary staff.

Built differently, on purpose.

Straight answers, even when the answer is no

One workflow live in weeks, not a programme

Measured in hours back, not slides

*Every engagement is scoped and quoted up front. Results vary by workflow and business.

Questions Queenstown businesses ask

Do you actually work on the future of work?

Our goal is a three day weekend: compress the week by handing the repetitive work to systems that do it reliably, so people spend their hours on the part only a person can do.

What does this look like for a Queenstown business?

Queenstown's economy is tourism on rails - peak season is chaos, shoulder season is brutal. AI smooths both. We scope one workflow, ship it to production, and prove the return before expanding.

Is this a talk or a build?

Both, depending on what you need. We speak on the future of work, and we build the systems behind it. The advice is the same either way, and it is free of charge until there is a scope to quote.

What happens when the Holidays Act is replaced?

The Employment Leave Act 2026 replaces it on 6 August 2028. Until then payroll follows the current Holidays Act, so leave calculations need to handle today's rules and the changeover.

Does it keep up with KiwiSaver changes?

It has to. The minimum employer contribution rose to 3.5 per cent on 1 April 2026 and rises to 4 per cent on 1 April 2028.
