iOS app development for gyms.
IOS app development that fits a gym's week, not the other way around.
Spots members going quiet and follows up personally, timed around school holidays and the start of each term.
Made for New Zealand paperwork.
Apps built around how your staff and customers actually work, with personal information handled under the Privacy Act 2020.
- Serious breaches get reported
- Four school terms a year
- Payday filing, every payday
Small team.
Real systems.
Zero fluff.
What you get
If we build the right slice first, gyms feel the difference inside the first month.
- Native Swift where performance matters, cross-platform where it does not
- App Store review handled end to end, including the rejections
- Sign in with Apple, push, camera and offline handled properly
- TestFlight builds so your team tries it before your customers do
- No shelfware or licences you do not use
- No AI theatre
What years of building for gyms taught us.
Gyms and studios live or die on membership retention, and most churn happens quietly, weeks before someone cancels.
Lead follow-up, trial conversion, and renewal reminders are the levers that decide a gym's membership numbers.
On the tools or running at scale, the admin still eats the week :)
Quotes with GST, consent paperwork, LBP records and health and safety logs: the admin every New Zealand trade business carries.
*Illustrative example based on nine hours a week of admin. Actual results vary by workflow and business.
How it works in New Zealand
We find the one workflow costing gyms the most hours, ship a working slice into production in weeks, prove it pays for itself, then harden it and hand it over.
Straight answers
Who owns the code and the model setup?
You do, on delivery. We deploy iOS app development into your own cloud account where possible, with the model setup, prompts, evals and integration code all checked into a repo you own. Swift sits in your account too - we don't operate it from ours.
How long does iOS app development take to ship for gyms?
We aim for a working pilot inside 4-6 weeks - narrow scope, real gyms data, measurable outcome. From there it's another 6-8 weeks of hardening before you'd consider it production. Full rollouts (multiple sites, multiple teams) typically land in 3-4 months.
What's the realistic outcome for gyms?
We ship to TestFlight in the first fortnight, so you hold the app before you commit to the build. We don't promise tenfold lifts because we don't see them outside of marketing decks.
Does it keep up with KiwiSaver changes?
It has to. The minimum employer contribution rose to 3.5 per cent on 1 April 2026 and rises to 4 per cent on 1 April 2028.
What happens when the Holidays Act is replaced?
The Employment Leave Act 2026 replaces it on 6 August 2028. Until then payroll follows the current Holidays Act, so leave calculations need to handle today's rules and the changeover.
