App development for cafes and restaurants.

App development that fits a cafe or restaurant's week, not the other way around.

Rosters that account for 11 public holidays, including Matariki, plus your anniversary day, without a spreadsheet.

Made for New Zealand paperwork.

Apps in New Zealand English that keep working on patchy rural coverage, with personal information handled under the Privacy Act 2020.

  • Serious breaches get reported
  • Personal data sent offshore
  • 11 public holidays, plus yours
What changes for cafes and restaurants after this lands: the work that used to need a person stays done, the work that needs a person gets done with their attention undivided. You get a working build on your own phone early in the project, so decisions are made on the real app rather than on slides. Kiwi Dynamics

How the work runs

We find the one workflow costing cafes and restaurants the most hours, ship a working slice into production in weeks, prove it pays for itself, then harden it and hand it over.

An AI agency, minus the theatre.

We say when AI is not the answer

Production first, demo second

You keep the hours, the data and the system

*Every engagement is scoped and quoted up front. Results vary by workflow and business.

Small crew or big organisation, the busywork is the same :)

Quotes with GST, consent paperwork, LBP records and health and safety logs: the admin every New Zealand trade business carries.

*Illustrative example based on nine hours a week of admin. Actual results vary by workflow and business.

What we keep hearing from NZ cafes and restaurants.

Hospitality runs on thin margins where a missed booking, a bad review left unanswered, or a slow roster costs real money.

Reservations, reviews, and rostering are the recurring admin that pulls owners off the floor.

Straight answers

Can you work with our existing systems?

Yes. The default app development stack we reach for is Expo, React Native, Swift, Kotlin, Next.js, Postgres, but we'll bend it around whatever you already run - Xero, HubSpot, Shopify, Cin7, your own in-house apps. The discovery week maps every data source before any build starts.

Do you do hourly billing or fixed price?

Fixed price for the pilot, every time. After that it's your call - fixed price per milestone or a small monthly retainer for ongoing iteration. We don't run open-ended T&M because it disincentivises us from finishing.

What's a typical engagement length for cafes and restaurants?

Six to twelve weeks for the build, then a short managed-services month while the system goes from "shipped" to "owned by your team". After that you keep us on retainer if you want, or take it from there yourself.

Does it keep up with KiwiSaver changes?

It has to. The minimum employer contribution rose to 3.5 per cent on 1 April 2026 and rises to 4 per cent on 1 April 2028.

What happens when the Holidays Act is replaced?

The Employment Leave Act 2026 replaces it on 6 August 2028. Until then payroll follows the current Holidays Act, so leave calculations need to handle today's rules and the changeover.
